Opera Software released Opera 9.64 today, which addresses several security issues and few minor improvements. This release is a recommended security update for all those running the previous stable releases.
Starting with this release, Opera on Windows supports the security measures Data Execution Prevention (DEP) (available in Windows XP SP2 and newer) and Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) (available in Vista and newer).
These security measures are a kind of second line of defence once an application runs into a serious fault, which would normally cause it to crash sooner or later.
Changelogs: Windows, Mac & Linux/UNIX

Still suffers from the same problem i first encountered with 9.63, when i close opera it doesn’t exit properly and still shows up in task manager.
when i try to launch it after having closed it, i get a message telling me opera is already running.
i thought for sure that this latest update would fix that, but it hasn’t.
sigh…

@k3m15a
how long does it stay in your task manager? Mine also does that when I have had Opera open for a long, long time and have been eating up (virtual)memory. It just takes a while to release all that memory.

@k3m15a Try reduce the cache

Since 9.64 https://kis.hosteurope.de/ doesn’t load anymore.
It’s stuck at 0%. Looks like some SSL or certificate problem to me.
It loads fine in Safari.
I can’t even report the bug, since the corresponding item in the help menu is disabled, as the page isn’t even loaded.

The longest i can remember is >12hrs
@Garamujo, o
The disk cache is at 50MB, I don’t think that is too high.

I’m having an issue: (Linux version)
Middle-mouse-button pasting suddendly works.
Which at first may sound good.
But it destroys speed dial for me. because it pastes the url instead of opening in a new window.
With normal links it works as expected though.
I’ve checked all settings and files, and nothing pertaining to middle mouse button pasting has been enabled (scrolling enabled instead).
Anyone got an idea? At this time I am seriously considering going back to 9.63, as this is an essential function for my day to day browsing.

Facebook picture tagging is now very buggy in 9.64.

I don’t know if it’s to do with Opera, my machine, or what (I am not too tech savvy!) but when I updated, only some of my bookmarks copied over. Then when opening a new window (say from an IM link), it would open in another window altogether, and as the previous Opera version. Now windows updates were just done and I restarted, I cannot find the new version anywhere-it’s installed, repaired, but all the shortcuts and links open the previous version.

What versions of opera mini are available?
using
Ok ive got opera 9.64 it works fine but my problem is how do you add more speed dials
to it i found out how for the 9.50 but that file doesnt exist in the 9.64
using
sorry forgot to mention that it was the speedial.ini file which does not exist in the opera 9.64, but does in the 9.50 just seems silly to limit the speedial when in theory, you could have as many as you need qiute often i will be using more than 9 web pages at once
using
You can still ADD the file. I have 9.64 and it works fine still with 15 speed dials.
using
Ok but where is the ini file to alter i’ve searched for it and dont seem to be able to find it.
I even did a system search for it
using
Never mind i found it you need to show hiden files but hey its great now ive sorted it out
i managed to get 25 speed dials going so thats great news for me
