Mozilla also going after IE in court

It looks like Mozilla is also going after Microsoft’s Internet Explorer through the EU courts.
According to Cnet, Mozilla has been granted a seat at the table in the European Commission’s antitrust case against Microsoft.
“Mozilla requested and was granted “third-party status,” which entitles the organization behind the popular Firefox browser to receive access to confidential documents in the case and the ability to voice objections”
As you may recall Opera filed a complaint with the European Commission to force Microsoft to make significant changes to Internet Explorer back in December of 2007.

I think it’s a bit of an over-reaction.
If an interested third party, say a browser vendor, asked for “Interested Third Party” status so they could see what the actual EU complaint was (it’s secret to every except “Interested Parties”) and potentially be able to offer its position to the EU on the complaint (which is impossible to do unless one has actually seen the complaint which is only available to “Interested Parties”) does that really translate to “Browser Vendor Going After IE in Court”?
Again, I think this headline and many of the recent news reports that resulted from the EU leaking information on which browser vendors had sought “Interested Third Party” status, is a a bit of an over-reaction and quite misleading.

@Asa
Neither Opera nor Mozilla “went after IE in court”. None of them sued anyone. Opera reported Microsoft’s abuse to the authorities, and Mozilla agreed that Microsoft was playing foul, and thus threw its support behind Opera.
Once again Opera is leading the way and doing all the hard work while Mozilla gets to reap the benefits without doing much. We’ve seen this with all the features Mozilla has ripped off from Opera as well.

Mozilla is not going after Microsoft’s Internet Explorer through the EU courts.
Q. What is Mozilla’s involvement in the EC’s complaint against Microsoft?
A. We are following it closely and are obviously interested in the outcome…. Mozilla is not a complainant; we have not “joined the suit”, despite some reports to the contrary.
