Comeon Dan, I've been checking your blog almost everyday to find out if you'd posted about the Palm version. Have you got any info on it?

The Video for 9.5 face and I, quite frankly, can't wait to show it off to my smug IPhone-toting friends. However, I have a practical problem. I discovered Opera Mobile when I upgraded my old Siemens SX66 to a WM6 ATT-Tilt and was looking for something better than its built-in PIE.

I am still in the trial period for 8.65 and have no problem paying for browsing software that will have more value than a lot to me than most of the other software on my WM6 phone. However, I would hate to buy something and then have it become obsolete overnight. I realize that Opera is probably waiting for the 11th to make any big announcements. Still, It would be very helpful to know the following:

1. Is there a plan to release at least a public beta of Opera Mobile 9.5 in first quarter 2008?

2. If I purchase Opera Mobile 8.65 now, will I be eligible for a no-cost or discounted upgrade to OM 9.5 when it is released?

Whatever happened to the Palm version of Opera Mobile that was announced last year: http://operawatch.com/news/2007/04/opera-9-is-coming-to-the-palm.html

The press release seems to indicate that this will only be available for win mobile and symbian. Is a palm version on the horizon?

What about Opera Mini? :-)

It got some kind of "9.5 rendering engine", right?
