How to get StumbleUpon to work in Opera and Safari

stumbleupon-logo.PNGHere’s a great tip for those of you who want to use StumbleUpon in the Opera browser.

Generally in Firefox and Internet Explorer, you need to install the StumbleUpon toolbar. However there’s no official support for Opera and Safari at this point.

Here’s how to use StumbleUpon in Opera without installing any toolbars.

Visit (and bookmark) this URL: http://www.stumbleupon.com/demo/#url=http://operawatch.com/

The above URL will show a virtual toolbar above the webpage. Click on the ‘Stumble’ button to start discovering cool and interesting websites.

    I get an e-mail every few days from Stumbleupon prompting me to use my account. I’m happy to reply each time that I will once they do an Opera version – one day, if they feel there ia a demand….

    @Man: It’s a super-secret internal build of Opera 9.5. Just kidding :) I try to install the latest nightly builds.

    Hey Daniel, if you got a toolbar to keep me from stumbling around places so badly I forget what I initially needed to do, THAT would make me wife bit richer… ;)

    Personally I’d rather prefer to use operastumbler.com. Easier for me to navigate.

Default browsers like Internet Explorer are also more likely to be subjected to dangerous software such as viruses and spyware.

Q: Doesn't Opera copy all of their features from other browsers?
