		<description>Unwanted pop-ups are indeed annoying but the ads that are on the same page as the one you want to view is perhaps even more annoying. Just found this little web server that I'm running now on my machine and direct any traffic to it that would otherwise go to the ad servers (using /etc/hosts):

And voila la, no ads! :)</description>

However, I sometimes dislike sites that open links in a new tab e.g. 

http://www.arseblog.com (A football blog!)

and love the ability to right mouse click the link, then press open - to open the link in the same tab.</description>
