PC Magazine names Opera Mini the Best Software of 2007

Opera Mini 4 was named the ‘Best Software of 2007’ by PC Magazine.

From PC Magazine:

“Browsing the Web from your smartphone doesn’t have to be an experience you’d rather forget. Opera Mini sports an “intelligent zoom” so you can zero in on what you really want to read on the small screen. Opera even compresses the page for you, so the download is swift. And you can’t beat the price: free.”

This isn’t the first time PC Magazine is jumping on the Opera Mini bandwagon. In a previous review of Opera Mini 4 they wrote:

“Opera Mini 4.0 continues the tradition of being a must-download for anyone who browses the Web from their phone.”

On another occasion they wrote:

“First you’ve got to scrap the included wimpy browser and download Opera Mini 4.0 instead. It’s faster and more powerful, plus the latest version offers “intelligent zoom” which helps when navigating websites that haven’t been optimized for viewing on mobile devices.”

from what i understood java classes and jars can be recompiled to dex bytecode to run on dalvik vm, though i am not sure if that applies also on java me or only java se, the former have some additional restrictions.
