Opera getting high marks for its browser on the Motorola Q

The Opera Mobile browser on the new Motorola Q9h, which goes on sale tomorrow by AT&T Wireless, is getting praised by the media for its superiority over Microsoft’s Pocket Internet Explorer (Pocket IE).

From PC World magazine (also syndicated by The Washington Post):

“The included Opera mobile browser and Documents to Go programs are both superior to Microsoft’s bundled browser and office apps.”

From Cnet Reviews:

“Motorola decided to do its own thing again and chose Opera as the default Web browser for the Q9h. Once again, we’re not complaining as Opera does a great job of optimizing Web pages for mobile devices.”

From Twice magazine:

“the Opera Web browser (to offer) [offers] a better browsing experience than Microsoft Explorer for small-screen devices”

Ugly icon on white background looks weird, doesn’t it?

FataL: That was exactly what I was going to say. The only negative to a great piece of news.
