Opera Mobile 8.65 out for Smartphones and Pocket PCs

The new Opera Mobile 8.65 for Windows Mobile Smartphones and Pocket PCs has been released.

Here are some of the new features with Opera Mobile 8.65:

  • Support for Macromedia Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC
  • FlashLite 2.1
  • Text Wrap in Desktop Mode
  • Grab and Scroll (only applicable to Pocket PC)
  • Web search in address bar
  • Save image
  • Copy text
  • Send link as e-mail, SMS, and MMS

Opera Mobile runs on Windows Mobile 2003, WM 5, and WM 6.

Major manufacturers, such as Motorola, Samsung, HTC, Asus, Sharp and Toshiba, already pre-install Opera Mobile on their mobile phones.

    Great!
    But why Opera still use the same tabs skin for mobile as for desktop version? It makes Opera looks not native and not clean.

    and I hope these buttons just look blurry because of heavily compressed JPEG.

    kL, yes. They’re blurry as a result of the image compression. Here’s a better screenshot.

    Daniel, it is better to put shots of interfaces in PNG or GIF formats for clarity. Or use less compression ratio in JPEG.

    May I get a code for that? THOUGH I’ve got a cracked version of V8.65, but I’m not feeling well about it. I’m a Chinese user of Opera Mobile, and I like it so much that I also recommonded Opera Mini to my friends who used to use Ucweb. And I’m also happy to see Kong Opera Version is out.

    What we really want to know is when will a beta version of Opera Mobie 9 be released. Opera 8.65 isn’t cutting it anymore.
