It´s a very good post, it looks the really situation with the browser, lol.
using
That was great. Thanks for sharing Daniel.
using
That made me laugh out loud… Wow… I am REALLY happy right now. I think it was when I saw Internet Explorer that I really laughed.
using
Haha! I loved it!
using
Nice find! Like the reference of opera to james bond
using
Nice! That’s pretty funny, and somewhat accurate.
using
lol, yeah ff w/o extensions is pretty annoying
using
Lol
using
Ha ha, that’s brilliant!
using
Now that was funny
Will have to “steal” this post and post it somewhere else
using
Awesome.
using
w00t! Go armored Jeeps.
using
A second thought - FF - No extensions should be recaptioned - FF - Skinned.
FF w/o extensions is more like this: http://home5.swipnet.se/~w-55301/thomas/motor/virtscenic.jpg
using
OMFG! FOR REAL! ;D
using
The Opera Browser
The Revolution
using
:lol
using
Funny! Thumbs up!
using
Ha Ha Ha!
I’m using the Internet!
using
That’s great! True!
using
Ha Ha Ha!
using
orz!
using
Ha Ha Ha
Opera is the best!
using
I’m fine with that! Also, it’s a pleasure to have Gill Bates with us
using
I’ve always seen Opera as an LDV minibus
http://www.ldv.com/gb/newminibus.asp
Reliable and capable of 17 seats (tabs).
Well, useually have more than 17 open!
using
Browser. Opera Browser. [cue theme song]
using
I am using internet!
using
Here’s my version (I’ve had some images lying around for a while!):
http://www.saucepn.net/node/12
using
Well I started to think about installing Opera
using
johnnysaucepn, that was almost as good as the one Daniel posted.
using
yeah this is funny, let me quote the richness of updates od this blog, those days.
using
amazing
using
jaja! buenisimo!
using
Great.
using
I bet the Explorer cart has the rear bumper sticker:
“I might be slow - but I’m in front of you!”
using
And Safari is like riding a Segway. You spent a lot of money and think it looks cool, but you’re really slower than a bicycle and everyone else laughs at you :p
using
Hi, I put link into this page at my blog ^_^
using
hahaha LOL
using
muy bueno!
using
Ha Ha Ha! I can’t stop laughing for two days!
using
Where’s Lamborgini of Safari?
using
BTW, server didn’t get my OS correctly. It is definitely NOT Mac OS X
using
Yes, I have agreed with this totally, anno 2004
http://my.opera.com/community/forums/findpost.pl?id=771281
using
way to go
using
cool
using
Weren’t any mules around for the pic of the IE experience ??
using
HAHAHAH!
using
using
Safari would be a buggati veyron.
Fast, full of features and elegant

using
wheres the Porshe 4 OM?
using
i just need to drop a note, to show that there are indeed mac users here too
using
You may make Opera out to be the best, but browser usage suggests otherwise…
But I completely agree with the FF and IE pics
using
haha that was good
using
Tim, thats a terribly old and wrong argument, with a terribly simple counter…
Going on that, McDonalds make the best food yes?
using
Tim: “You may make Opera out to be the best, but browser usage suggests otherwise”
By that argument Explorer is by far the best!
using
really funny!
pkv
using
Steve”
Tim: “You may make Opera out to be the best, but browser usage suggests otherwise”
By that argument Explorer is by far the best!
”
Not precisely. Firefox is climbing higher and higher and IE is sinking at an even quicker rate.
using
Good work zeek
And Steve, that was simply comparing FireFox and Opera. There is a good explanation for IE’s dominance so far: it comes with Windows. Between the browsers where there is choice, FireFox beats Opera by a long shot.
using
awesome…thats pretty terrific.
using
haha im actualy on firefox on xp but apperantly user agent switcher works lol
using
Lets see if modded agent works for this…
I’m in Opera9.500a on WinXP
using
Let’s try this time
still Opera9.500 on WinXP
using
Ha ha ha
using
zeek, the argument is still fallacious. That a lot of people use something does not mean that it is the best. And most people haven’t even heard about Opera due to not having the same marketing muscle as Google and other Mozilla partners.
using
Tim: “Between the browsers where there is choice, FireFox beats Opera by a long shot.”
Posted on Epiphany, a Mozilla browser which I like!
What is best is a matter of opinion. I like to use Opera, and do not like using FireFox. Therefore, best browser equals Opera [to me]. I work on my experience, FireFox may perform on my Intel Core Duo, but most machines I have I find it awkward. I enjoy turning thrown away old computers into workable machines - this to me seems like a very environmentally friendly way of computing.
Most machines have some hardware issues, and extra ram is genrally needed - but most machines main problem is that the Microsoft operating system which can’t cope with the modern net. In practice I find that Sam Linux, or Vector Linux are the best operating systems for such machines:
http://www.vectorlinux.com/
http://sam.hipsurfer.com/news.php
Neither make huge demands upon the hardware. Therefore, I use Opera it treads lightly.
Everywhere you surf you find banners for FireFox, it is Hip at present (two diverse examples):
http://www.catholic-church.org.uk/
http://www.cavybreeder.co.uk/
Hence, numbers using are a reflection of the fact that FireFox is the only alternative most disgruntled IE users have, and the fact FireFox is a currently hip thing to do. Fashions change, in the late 80s it looked as though we would all be vegetarian by now!
I sometime worry that Microsoft will try and absorb FireFox, like it has with Novell SuSe. Hence, I rejoice in diversity - it is good to have as many alternative browsers as possible, rather than putting all eggs in the FireFox basket.
using
“I sometime worry that Microsoft will try and absorb FireFox, like it has with Novell SuSe.”
Not gonna happen. The Mozilla Foundation is not that naive. Besides, Google will attempt to block that any way possible.
using
Yeah right IE is sh1te and you are all using windows (mostly) talk about hypocritical…
using
wow im surprised the huge number of people using opera
using
@Nick
Hahaha, very funny.
This is OPERA Watch, meaning that more people using OPERA will be here. Would be the same at a Safari Blog, a lot more people will be using Safari.
@Steve
Yeah, Google is really protective as such of Mozilla and FireFox, they have a lot of advertising deals and such. Neither of them would sell to their competitor.
using
yes it was very good
using
ha! i gots firefox with tons of extensions on vista
using
found this page with the StumbleUpon plugin
though I admit, that single plugin is the only reason I’m using Firefox isntead of Opera
using
I think both, FF and Opera have thier right to exist, since Opera is an all in one Package, much like a PC from store, the FF is the custom made PC suited to ones own preferences.
In an case i would prefere FF since i can adjust it to my unique wishes. And sinve FF is only slightly slower it is for me an good trade off.
using
They weren’t just stupid, some made no sense.
Who ever thought they were funny obviously complete idiots.
using
Ha, great.
using
LoL!!

But it’s very sad that millions of people use IE!
using
@Birger
I think there is some StubleUpon widget for Opera (maybe not finished??)
http://my.opera.com/suopera/blog/
Ohh, and I found this toolbar by chance while looking for it:
http://www.operastumbler.com/
Not sure if that is of any help though, but thought I should mention it.
- ØØ -
using
aww no safari comparison
using
yeah opera is the effing best, except for the fact that stumbleupon is not fully supported in the right way (which was what I used on firefox to get to this)
using
I have, wait I forgot what the joke was…just gonna check…
Ah I have armored Hummer with men sat on it… I stumbled upon this page. Which is why I like Firefox
using
Hehehe… nice. xD
using
just found this page…. using the opera Stumbler.
very nice
using
nice. i have them all what does that make me
using
firefox stumbler here:p maybe i need opera
using
using
someone help me im dieing
cuz i cant stop laughing
using
Hey!! I’m a Mac user- why didn’t you include Safari, too?!!
Just kidding - I switched to Opera 9.2 this summer. It’s a lot better.
Actually, a small electric car might be a better illustration of Safari than a Segway or Lamborghini. It’s easy to operate and works quite nicely for a while, but with the memory leaks, you have to shut it down every so often and start over from the beginning.
Kind of like taking your car home to recharge every night!
Yeah, Safari’s pretty good, but I use Opera most of the time, to handle the heavy lifting!
using
Nice comparisson.
I use all 3 but have a slichtly different view. IE is like a bus, FF like a private car with lefthand steeringwheel and Opera like a bicycle. Bicycles are most of the time much smarter.
using
Firefox w/ extensions is more like a tank. Slowish, but it can just roll over any other browser.
using
The last one was funny. One thing is true, I like a lot Aston Martins and Opera. My name is bond, Opera bond.
using
Haha Barbie Hummer should be shot. xD
using
LoL and I’m so not using a Mac [or Safari], mac suck (it’s an opinion, get over it). Agent Switcher rocks. xD
using
Very amusing… Fits something I said to someone a few months back.
using
ROFL.
using
Opera does rock
using
Funny
using
Very funny
using
That is just so discusting… I feel sick.
Who would do that to a Hummer, thast is tastless…
But I guess it could be painted with Tele-Tubbies, so be thankfull.
But for web designers with the Web Developer Extension, drop the .50 cal and replace it with a 20mm Chain Gun.
But the basic FX with extentions should be The Extended Hummer.
using
I still use Opera since version 7.23 because its faster and a better solution than FF or Opera. I like the tabs and the mouse gestures and a lot of other addons directly integrated in Opera.
Okay when there is a computer w/o Opera then I prefer Firefox
using
Oops.. I meant “and a better solution than FF or Internet Explorer” Sry my fault *g*
using
that’s funny
using
Stumbled here with Firefox. There are some extensions that have spoiled me.
using
You know, IE is actually not so archaic
using
I love my armored Firefox, lol. I love extensions.
using
As you can see, I actually use all the **** I have on Firefox. (Mainly Stumbleupon, Adblock Plus, and Fasterfox. And FlashGot on occasion.)
using
Sorry about that. I didn’t know “cr*p” was a censored word.
using
I’ve been using Opera for over a year now (switched from firefox), no regrets
using
It’s funny, because it’s real.
using
LOL! This perfectly reflects the cruel reality
using
I used Opera since version 5.0, it ruled back then, it rules now.
using
well said
using
IM USING OPERA BUT IM MODDING HEHEHEHEHEHEHE !
using
Mee Too,Im on Opera And Windows Vista
using
lol - nice one man!
using
thats all too funny, keep it coming
using
IE is really for me then….
I like that classical look
hehehe
using
Currently trying out Opera, but once it’s started it isn’t that much faster than FF.
And I miss FiltersetG updater for Adblock!
BTW: Using Iceweasel now, seemed to be missing in the comments
Debian rulez!
using
Funny. Specially the IE pic.
using
Funny
Please make something for Konqueror and Safari too.
using
Nice one, the IE picture is the best one.
using
It can’t get better than this.
using
I am flabbergasted how Internet Explorer, according to the above picture of a horse-drawn carriage, has improved.
Back in 2003, Opera Forums’ poster Jack the Cat observed
using
ROFL
using
Perfect comparsion!!!!!
using
LOL! This is too true!
using
Great! Love the comparison. I’m beginning to love James Bond, his car and all, but I probably won’t use all of them.
Greetings and lotta loves from Malaysia.
using Unknown browser
firefox all the way
using
haahaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
great comparison !!
using
Haaahaaaa!
I’m still a Firefox fan
using
