NY Times lists Opera Mini as tool for business travelers

Opera Mini got another mention in The New York Times.
In today’s business travel section, the Times listed various technology devices for business travelers “that can help people do more with less, and kick back and even enjoy themselves after the deal is done.” Included in the list is Opera Mini!
“Most mobile phones offer Internet access and Web browsers. But try to gain access to a graphics-heavy or complex Web page and your phone’s browser may well choke.
Opera Mini (operamini.com, free) is a browser designed to access almost any Web page, even on many basic cellphones. It processes and compresses Web pages before sending them to your phone. You simply type in a standard Web address, and the page shows up. You can scroll up or down and zoom in and out to make even complex Web pages readable. Opera Mini version 4 is useful for quickly searching for hotel reviews or getting directions to a client’s office or checking out almost any Web page from your phone.”
When the first beta of Opera Mini 4 was released in June, the Times also wrote a nice piece on it.

I just received my new HTC 6800 phone from Sprint. I’ve downloaded the latest Opera Mini 4 beta version 2. I love it and I only have one issue which I’ve been unable to determine how to fix. Can I enable pop-ups?

Gene, nope. Opera Mini doesn’t have tabs or windows.
