Just thought, to have no record run Vector Linux or Sam Linux live disks. Both come with Opera 9.10, and session is lost when pc closed or re-booted!

Rhonnysparks, yup. Deleting the history won't (as of now) delete the full history search. It's still being worked on.

Yeah, there's a nasty bug, (or so I assume) that doesn't delete the words from pages you've deleted. To delete the full history search just delete the folder vps in your profile folder (that will delete all full history search data).

The only problem with deleting items from your history that way is that it doesn't remove it from the new "Full history Search".

Werwolf: Only five crashes?! When I tried out 9.50 for the first time (at the day it was released) I experienced the first crash after about three minutes ...since then it crashed about... 20 to 30 times maybe? (On both, my XP machine _and_ on this Win98 box) Would've been more often if I'd use it as my standard-browser. I can't even use it for like 10 minutes at a time without seeing it crash, so I rarely use it at all. But it's ok since it's just an alpha build... the only thing that makes me wonder is that so many people seem to have fewer problems with this build than me.

I always used the 9.1x and 9.2x weeklies as my normal browser, but I simply can't do that with 9.50, although I'd like to.

Note that using Quick search may leave traces by saving what has been searched for, so 'Clear' may need to be used afterwards. Also, the cache and cookies may still contain the visited sites.

I open up Panel to delete items from my history (right-clicking items to delete them).

Off-topic: Kestrel hasn't crashed once on me, but it has gotten pretty sluggish at times, particularly when Macromedia flash files are displayed.

I was even thinking about it, how it could be possible and have tried to belete the history in the popup in addressbar like in Firefox. It would be really great, if this would be implemented in Opera aswell. It would be uncredible usefull, especially if you make a mistake by typing an URL, Then is your error cept in history.

This articel is very usefeull, thank you.

ohhhh, Kestre 9520! :O

I use Kestrel as default browser, even by alphas would it be very kind fro Desctop team, it they turnd to poblic ones. I would not change back to 9.23, I had only 5 crashes now.

Nice one.
This comes in helpful for for visiting sites at my parents browser and delete them from the history. My mother uses the history very much and some other sites would clutter her list of recent pages. ;-)

E.g.: I installed some certificates yesterday and didn't know how to remove their sites from the list - so I kept them.
