Thanks Daniel. It was my mistake. For some reason Microsoft rearranged the icons on my desktop, so I was booting up Opera 9.23 instead of Opera 9.50 alpha. Thanks, Bill! 9.5 alpha seems to be okay. Thanks for your trouble. Chris.

Chris, how big is your cache? Check Tools > Preferences > Advanced > History > Disk cache...

Try removing your cache, see if that helps. Go to Tools > Delete private data...

Opera 9.23 hangs for several seconds when opening a new page, or switching between already open pages. What a drag! Does anyone know what to do?

Opera 9.23 has some sort of display bug. When Opera 9.23 (this specific version) downloading something and minimized, Windows right click menu starts creating problems !!!

One feature I would like to see would be, some sort of "smart zoom" that reduces blur when zoomed around 300+.

Maybe It's just me but sometimes opera hangs for no reason for a few seconds. Is this an comfirmed bug? Please Fix

This should put to rest the questions posted earlier about whether Mozilla releasing these tools was a good thing or not. Maybe Opera can return the favor and share some of their security tools with the world.

I sure do love new versions of Opera. Nothing too big here, but more stability is only a good thing.

prakash:
1) go to properties - advanced - tabs, and in the dropdown field "new tabs" choose whatever you want - for you, "remember last size" would probably be good - this opens a new tab the size that the last one that you opened a new page in was closed.

2) no clue what you mean by "per-session basis". the trash can stores all closed pages of your browsing history until the limit you set for the browsing history is reached or you close opera.

Two featurs, I think would really benefit Opera, but donno how to pass them to appropriate feedback collection group:

1. When you have tabs cascaded and you open a new tab, it's not cascaded.
2. The threash can is on a per-session basis. It would be nice to store them over multiple sessions but rather restricted by the number of entries.
