It doesn't take very long. It's very helpful for me because I can just see a thumbnail and click it quickly. Makes it easier to find the site I want quickly. Also, the Personal Bar takes up too much valuable space for me. I hide the menu bar and personal bar, leaving only the address bar, tab bar, and status bar visible.

Not using it. Too much time waste. To open any site with speed dial you need two clicks: New tab and then webpage button. With personal bar your just one click away with no need to move around with the mouse. Shiny gimmick, nothing else.

I might have used this if it had been available years ago, but I already have all of my frequently visited sites either in newsfeeds or using nicknames, which I access through F2 (shift+F2 by default). As it is, I don't use it.

I didn't think much of it when I first saw it. But I have Opera set so that I get a blank page on each CTRL+T (new tab/page). So everytime I hit CTRL+T, I saw the speed dial, and from there it just turned into my mini-portal for jumping to sites I read often. Now I find myself very annoyed that there are only 9 pages allowed. Seriously, why can't it be configured to a bigger grid with more pages??

HD78, you'll notice a button on the bottom right corner of your Opera browser 'Show speed dial'. Click it.

Any updates to Speed Dial in Kestrel (v9.5)? Is there any way to save multiple Speed Dial sessions without changing the SD default page?

I only use it to make Opera's market share bigger, i added popular sites and i keep Opera autoreload them every 10 mins... it's my way to help Opera gain the place it deserves ^_^

I use it, but I would prefer it if the short cut numbers matched the numeric keypad on my PC (and not the numbers on a phone!)

I use it all the time. I used to keep a bunch of tabs open all the time and always got annoyed if something happened so I lost them. Now probably 40% of the browsing I do start with one of my 9 speeddials!

Only thing is, 9 isnt enough, needs to be customizeable to the number of items, I want say, 16 (I’ve got the screen realestate for it), but my sister wants 4(Less pages to fill it with), etc.
I Routinely get asked if theres a way to change the number displayed, mainly by those i’ve converted to opera.

Show me how to change a number page in Speed Dial.
