@Alex how long have you been living under that rock? Both are possible already.
Ctrl enter for domain completion was added in 9, and its customizable like all other keyboard shortcuts/mouse gestures. To edit them, go to Tools>Preferences>Advanced>shortcuts>click Edit near selected setup, same goes for mouse gestures..

Domain name completion is probably #1 on my wish-list for Opera atm.
#2 would be the ability to customize mouse gestures.

So, surprisely I was tagged by <a href="http://my.opera.com/FataL/blog/5-wishes" rel="nofollow">Fatal</a> and now I must say about my 5 wishes for the Opera browser. OK, that is:

1. Adding of user's choice between starting the downloading immediately or after the special button clicking. With the high-speed connection the any non-wished files can be downloaded before the moment when user will make choice. Really it can be a big traffic.

2. Auto-checking of new updates and fast installation of new version of Opera by using patches "on the fly" without the browser restart.

3. The best integration with the Web-2.0 applications and services by using the Widgets. Widgetize - it's a very good, but many users don't want to make widgets personally and waiting for the new fantastic widgets from Opera Software, included to browser by default. On the other side, the default widgets can increase the Opera browser functionality.

4. The start optimisation: if I have a very big mail archive and cache, the time of the Opera starting is increased dramatically.

5. Availability of receiving the headers only in the POP3 mail accounts. Optional, of course.

Bonus wish:
Opening the russian branch of Opera Software and russian developing center (see the Mandriva.ru example) ;)
You should keep in your memory: Opera browser have approx. 13,5% of russian internet area and we can give to the developing of Opera a new strong impulse by new ideas, features, etc.

1. Better XML support and if on pages are XML sintactic error, than automatic make the HTML parse.
For example:
http://opera.extra.hu/kepek/xml.jpg
2.Automatic update
3.Bootmarks sync with all Opera (Mini, Mobil, Desktop)
4.I wold like on my Opera settings folder change for example with install(mail, bootmarks, blocklist, skin, speeddial settings...Without Opera:config)
5.windows Menu (file, edit, view..)hide with normal preferences (not just with opera button)
5+1 Google pages support.

I think what Opera should really be concerned about is not as to how to improve it (it already does score very high marks in all tests), but <b>how to get the word out</B> about it.

I am not an Opera user, but got tagged nonetheless, so here's <a href="http://modifoo.com/2007/07/24/5-wishes-for-opera.html" rel="nofollow">my 5 wishes from a Opera non-user</a>.

1. Auto update.
2. RSS/Feeds in teh side panel
3. Export and import All Settings giving the options for bookmarks toolbar ad button settings and whether or not to include skins in teh exported archive.
4. Option to remove or hide the title bar, similar to Maxthon 2. so much sleeker.
5. DO NOT MOVE THE TAB BAR UNDER THE ADDRESS BAR... If you do so.. PLEASE give me teh option to have it the original way. The right way. The Opera Way. it just makes more sense.. and i prefer the look and feel of it. Firefox, as great as it is has always felt wrong to me. I recommend it to many people but i just don't use it myself.. never ever warmed up to it.

1) My number one wish is for better plug-in support. Flash on Linux doesn't work as well as it does in Firefox and VLC doesn't work at all.

2) I also agree that enabling other RSS readers is important.
