Forbes Magazine: Make your phone smarter by installing Opera Mini
Published June 11th, 2007 1:17 PM EDT By Daniel Goldman
In an article by Forbes Magazine titled “Raise Your Phone’s IQ” they had some nice words for Opera Mini.
From the article:
“The cheapest and easiest way to make your phone smarter is to add a few key pieces of software. The Web browser is one of the most obvious places for improvement: most cheap phones include a bare-bones browser that barely works. You can easily improve that by installing Opera Mini, a free program that gives you a much more robust browser.”
It’s great to see Forbes recognize Opera Mini as ‘the browser’ to use of mobile browsing, especially after it omitted any reference to Opera Mini in its ‘Must-Have Mobile Software’ article last month.

I’m guessing you emailed Forbes about Opera Mini then?
Nice to see more publicity for Opera Mini especially seeing the new beta release is coming up (or so I hope).
I have to say I’ve never used Opera Mini (my phone is too basic) but reading all these reviews really makes me want to upgrade my phone just so I can try it.

I left a comment to their editor that they’d omitted the most useful piece of software, while including SMS based search engines.
Looks like I wasn’t the only one if they cleared things up that quickly.

Nice to see Opera Mini getting some recognition from such an influential company.
Granted I hate the fact that newspaper, magazine, television, and radio companies have such influence over people…
It’s still nice to hear that they like Opera Mini.
