In less than 24 hours everyone will get their hands on the newly polished and improved Opera Mini 4 beta.
Tomorrow is the big day. Browsing on mobile phones is about to get easier. I can’t spill the beans just yet; you’ll have to wait until the Opera Mini team releases it tomorrow.
Let the countdown begin!
Update: Opera Mini 4 beta is here.

At LAAAST !!!! Can’t wait any longer
I hope this is going to change mobile web browsing forever – and lead millions more to Opera 9
ps: Just hope my bookmarks will be intact after the upgrade
using
Dion, on my phone (the Samsung M610) Opera Mini keeps the bookmarks during upgrades. It depends on your phone.

Your bookmarks from the desktop browser???
Aha! That’s it!
using
Can you at least tell me, what size this version is?
110 KB or ?
using
Thanx Daniel for the bookmark assurance.
I couldn’t help but notice your “flaunting of Opera 9.50″ in your post
Are we getting that as well?
using
Daniel, any news regarding a future Opera Desktop beta?
using
Argh, stop talking about Opera Desktop. This post is about Opera Mini, OK?

Hi,
what time is OM 4 going to be released? It’s 8:09 (GMT) now and the http://www.operamini.com website still offers the old 3.1 version.

I downloaded Opera Mini beta over an hour ago and it works nicely. Reminds me of the S60 browser (or is it vice versa?
) but naturally faster and slimmer than the latter.
But, what are those other features we’re supposed to wait for… hmm…
Opera 8.50 can be downloaded from the article “A call for video on the web” over at a href=”http://labs.opera.com/”>http://labs.opera.com/. Read the article for important information on installation and the link to the download. (Note: the link says it’s Opera 8.50 but I haven’t checked the download out. YMMV)

it’s here!

It’s here and working great! Still need alot of fine tuning and trimming, but once again the Opera team sets a record

There is one problem with Opera Mini (at least on my Samsung A880). I now have 3 versions of Opera installed because I’ve not had time to retype all the bookmarks to the latest version before a new version comes out.
There should be a way to export the bookmarks, at least temporarily, to an external site to be used to import them back into the latest version.
