Can’t get Opera Mini 4 beta on your phone? check out the online simulator
Published June 19th, 2007 9:08 AM EDT By Daniel GoldmanFor those of you whose phones won’t run the new Opera Mini 4 beta (Note: The Opera Mini team is constantly working on adding support for additional phones), you can still check out the cool new browsing experience online with the Opera Mini beta simulator. Also, make sure to check out the Opera Mini 4 beta video demo.

Ah, you had better develop a mobile CSS profile… Horizontal scrollbar is not a good idea.

how do you get the pc-like view on the simulator? can’t get it to do that…

I don’t have a phone that will run Opera Mini, but that demo was great. I loved the new beta.
Give my reguards to the guys working on that fine piece of software.

OM beta 4 simulator doesn’t show any images for the moment.(OM 3 simulator does.)
Please fix, so we can continue testing the *Best Browser* (to be)
using
@Investor Sure it does, look it up in the settings

Very impressive, the zoom thing is fast as hell so the navigation of the page improves a lot by getting an overview of the whole page, use the cursor to select the relevant part of the page you want to see and then go back to the overview.

@Dante,
My settings. Checked are *Load images*, *Higher image quality*, *Visual effects*, and *24-hour clock*, and font size is *Small*
Images worked fine on the OM B4 simulator some hous ago, but not now…

Restarted PC, images show again… Back in business

The new simulator is lacking the main feature, and it’s a usability nightmare. Daniel, can you pass this along ?
- there’s no way to send it an URL, like for the OM3 simulator
- you now have to click on it just right for the applet to get keyboard focus, otherwise arrows/letters get sent to the page..
On the computer where I don’t have a mouse, it’s impossible to work with the simulator.

Dante, I’ll check with the Opera Mini team.

unfortunately, i couldn’t download it from my mobile browser, it doesn’t work (like if i need another reason to use opera mini), and opera mini 3 i have can’t download java programs (as a security thing about all java midlets)
isn’t there some way to get the jar file onto my desktop then install it to the phone this way ?
using
