Google Reader on your Wii
Published May 9th, 2007 10:34 AM EDT By Daniel GoldmanGoogle released a version of Google Reader specifically designed for the Wii Opera-powered browser (watch the video below). In addition to the styling changes, there are also keyboard Wiimote shortcuts you can you with the Wii.
If you’d like to try the Reader interface in a regular browser, visit www.google.com/reader/wii to go into Wii mode.
If only some other Google teams would work with Opera’s Web Opening team to get their services and products to work in Opera…
On a side note, there are just 3 weeks left for you to download the Wii Opera-powered browser for free.

“…there are also keyboard shortcuts you can you with the Wii.”
“you can you?” Dont understand?

Nike, oops… I meant “Wiimote shortcuts.”

It still says “you can you”.
This is a pretty cool and unexpected feature from Google. Does this mean that the Wii browser will also get properly working versions of Google Docs & Spreadsheets and other Google services that don’t work properly in Opera?

I just don’t understand why Google can gear something toward Opera on the Wii so easily, but still exclude the desktop version of Opera in all of their other products.

OK, this is a very nice first step toward supporting Opera… Let’s hope Google continues with this…

So Google can use Opera API on Wii, but not on the desktop. How come?
