Nintendo today released the final version of the Wii browser (powered by Opera) after months of beta testing.

A lot has changed since the last beta version was released. Nintendo and Opera have incorporated user feedback from the beta version of the Internet Channel to create a faster, more functional and feature-rich Web experience on Wii.

Much has been said about the new features and functionality of the Wii browser; I won’t repeat them. Take a look at the press release announcing the Wii browser, it has lots of details. You also may want to take a look at Nintendo page on Opera’s site for screenshots, feature tours, and video demos.

It’s an exciting day for Opera; we’re now on the coolest gaming console in the world – the Nintendo Wii.
