Is there a reason that "small section" in my.opera.com is offering 9.1 and not 9.2?

Anything to get more people using Opera is probably a good thing. I'd like to see the market share go up.

andol, the downloads came from my.opera.com, not opera.com -- which is what leads me to belive it came as a result of the Wii.

According to internal figures I’ve seen, a new record was set yesterday for the number of downloads of the desktop browser on the My Opera community site.

Come on. Its only a number. Reveal the download count.

Good news!

Might this whole Wii venture be the tipping point? Let's hope Opera finally gets the user base it deserves!

Oh, and I forgot about something too... I think that most of the new account signups were also triggered by the launch of Opera 9.20.

You forgot about the launch of Opera 9.20 for desktops. This was the real reason for such a high level of the desktop browser downloads.

I'm pretty sure Wii had nothing to do with this. :)
