   The fundamental question: Will Opera develop Opera 9 for Palm OS or for Windows Mobile? Would you be so kind to ask Jon about it?

   Has to be Palm OS because windows mobile is not exclusive to palm devices. Cant wait.

   I can’t find anything in that article about Opera for the Palm OS, only a newer version for WM5.

   apparently the author ignorantly thinks that all Treos use WM5. it is already well know that opera mobile is available for WM5, but there has never been a native palm OS version. opera mini is OK, but is optimized for regular phones, and does not take full advantage of a treo’s power as a PDA/phone.

   Just looking at Net Applications. The market
   share for Blazer is about 0.015% of internet traffic:

   Any extra use has to be good. Hopefully, this will help strengthen Operas position within the mobile browser market.

    It’s a really fantastic deal the parent company of Palm is ACCESS they have own mobile browser NetFront as you know. Good job Mobile team!

    The deal is with Palm Inc. and not Access. Palm Inc. has licensed the Palm OS source code from Access and may modify it…

    So Opera could develop a browser for Palm on Palm OS, on WM, or on Linux. That seems to be the 3 platforms Palm hardware plan to run on in future…

    There is a German announcement on http://www.heise.de that Palm Linux OS will come this year including Web-Browser Opera and Mail-Client ChatterMail.
