Q: What is Opera?
A: Opera is one of the most powerful Web browsers around. A Web browser is the program that allows you to view Web pages. Opera is well known for innovation for PC browsers and bringing the full web to mobile phones and devices.
Q: Is Opera free?
A: Absolutely free.
Q: Why should I download a browser? Doesn't my computer already come with one for free?
A: It's about getting more out of the time you spend on the internet. Opera is designed to be much faster than these browsers and gives you powerful features that the default browser lacks. Default browsers like Internet Explorer are also more likely to be subjected to dangerous software such as viruses and spyware.
Q: Will Opera keep me safe from fraudulent websites and malicious hackers?
A: According to Secunia, a respected firm that tracks security in browsers, Opera has the best reputation and track record when it comes to browser security. Keeping our users safe from security vulnerabilities, fraudulent websites, and malicious hackers is a top priority for Opera. Opera is maintained by hundreds of engineers, developers and security experts who are constantly looking to make the browser even safer.
Q: Doesn't Opera copy all of their features from other browsers?
A: Absolutely not. In fact, many of the features that are popular in other browsers today were invented and pioneered by Opera a long time ago. Opera invented the precursor to tabs (in 1994), Page Zoom (1994), was the first browser to block pop-up ads (2000), first to add a Search field in the browser toolbar (2000), Sessions (1996), deleting private data (2000), Mouse Gestures (2000), User JavaScript (2005), BitTorrent support (2005), Widgets (2006), Speed Dial (2007), and much more.
Q: Does Opera support extensions, such as those found in Firefox?

Q: Can I also use Opera on my mobile phone?
A: Yes. And your Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS or almost any connected device and mobile phones. Opera Mobile oftens comes preinstalled from the manufacturers, but if it doesn't you can install Opera Mini which runs on nearly all phones.

Sad. I hate MySpace…
Although, I guess if it helps spread the word about Opera, then it’s not terrible.
I noticed they want fan videos. Right now the only ones I have are walk-throughs on setting up UserJS. I have one that shows Operapedia, and one that shows OSpell. Both are Theora encoded (codec for Windows Media Player), and are around 9MB-10MB.
I’d leave a comment on the blog entry at MySpace about the videos, but that requires me to sign up for a MySpace account, and that’s just not happening. Anyone who wants to pass the word, they are free to use the videos if they want. I can also upload them to YouTube if they perfer.

If you up load them to youtube, just send me a pm from the opera community (same username) and I’ll forward it to Opera on the myspace account for you..
I’d love to see Opera try to get their myspace page to validate, lol. If only you could use javascript in myspace to correct the elements, haha. I think they should make it a goal to make their myspace page compliant in some way.

I was inspired by it so I added it to my own personal website and just noticed a little while back that it is gone here now, lol. Hope we get it back..as it makes this whole posting process much easier since there is not preview button.

I don’t feel like MySpace is the thing for me. And the things people have said about it’s users, features and bugs makes want to sign up even less.
I think My Opera is the best community out there when it comes to features and user-friendly-ness and especially when it comes to the wonderful members. Opera Community members are some of the greatest people I know!
But… I promote Opera in the other communities I’m in. Ormgas.com, Meebo.com’s forums, Newgrounds.com and Orkut.

I’ll get them up on YouTube as soon as my hosting service gets my website’s e-mail working again. I haven’t been receiving e-mail for several days, and they moved me to a new server last night, so now I can’t even log in to the IMAP server.
Unfortunately I had to create a YouTube account, which won’t be active until I can at least read my e-mail.

OK, my first Opera video is on YouTube now. I’ll send the PM to kyleabaker as he requested, so that he can post about it on Opera Software’s MySpace blog.
I was dissapointed with the quality of the video after I uploaded it. Most of the text in the video is unreadable, even if full screen mode. If anyone wants to compare, here is the original.
