PC Magazine: If you only ever download one cell phone app, download Opera
Published March 2nd, 2007 12:38 PM EST By Daniel GoldmanLawrence just emailed me a link to this PC Magazine article “Supercharge Your Cell”, or as you would say outside the US “Supercharge Your Mobile Phone”.
In the review of applications that would enhance your mobile phone, PC Magazine mentions Opera Mini and Opera Mobile. It didn’t say much about Opera this time, but their praise for Opera is pretty powerful.
Here’s the quote from PC Magazine:
“If you only ever download one cell phone app, download Opera.
On non-smart phones, Opera Mini 3.0 might change your life. This software injects an almost desktop-quality Web browser into even relatively humble devices. On Windows Mobile smart phones, Opera Mobile lets you replace Pocket Internet Explorer with something more powerful and more compatible with a wider range of Web sites.”
I recently had a talk with the lead architect for Opera Mini; he told me some of the exciting things they’re working on. Browsing the web on Opera Mini has already been widely mentioned as innovative; however what you will see in upcoming releases of Opera Mini will truly blow your mind (and no, this is not PR hype). They’ve got some really creative people working on this little browser.
P.S. Another application mentioned by PC Magazine is SoonR, which, by the way, uses the Opera browser for the user interface of its AJAX-powered application that displays desktop files on mobile phones.

Thats nice, since we just got the SD from mobile versions to desktop, so all cool features they invent in mobile opera will eventually pop for us desktop users
Though it would be great to hear what these features are
