WiiMinder adds tabbed browsing to the Wii Opera browser

Opera didn’t add tabbed browsing to the Wii browser, so guess what? Someone else did. On the site wiiminder.com it shows a video demonstration on how you could use its site to surf the web on the Wii using tabs. It’s not real tab browsing, but it’s somewhat close.

I like the headline on Wii-UK blog “Wii Browser Tabs Get Better, Opera Should Be Wetting Pants”. Hehe…

On a side note, here’s another site where you could listen to music through the Wii Opera browser. Take a look at www.finetune.com/wii.

Yes, saw that video earlier today. What’s going on here… ???… Is *wiiminder* a Widget, making tabbed browsing possible… ???… Why didn’t Opera think of that, in the first place… ???

    Confused ;)

After Wii-browsing for two days I can say that one of the features that Opera for Wii lacks is tabs.
Other things that already start bother me are:
    * unability to view and chage URL of the current opened page
    * the bottom toolbar should be hidden when you read/scrolling a page (it takes too much useful space)
I hope Nintendo have requested and Opera will improve all mentioned in the final version. ;)

I would like a way to a permanent zoom as well. 640×480 is just painful when you back and your zoom is back to default, small squinty text.

Yippee for tabbed browsing ;) I remember Linksboks on the old modded Xbox has this so i`m glad the much more capable Opera does now too.

I really love Finetune on my PC, thanks.

I agree Saito, Finetune sounds good via linux too.

Invester, the current version of Opera for Wii is a beta and therefore lacking many of the features in the final version.
