Kyocera is releasing a new mobile phone, the Kyocera WX320K, which comes with the full Opera Mobile web browser pre-installed.

What makes this phone stand out from the many other mobile phones that ship with Opera too, is that the words “Opera Browser” is displayed on the cover of the phone, as well as the Opera logo on the ‘web’ button inside the phone. (See pictures below).

That phone really did look like ****. Cool that it got Opera and promots it as one of it’s main features though!

This should be big news for the browser’s recognition!

what it the site that is being displayed?

Is that last image showing a scaled down version of the site, as opposed to SSR? I wonder if that’s a real browser screen that’s being displayed.

Lawmune, I got the screenshot from their site. It looks too good for a small screen. :)

I have a feeling that this is because they are selling their phone to a wider audiance then simply Opera’s user base, so they want to show their users that they can get the internet on their phone by using what most of their customers are familier with, IE.

    Good point Michael…
The spec mention Opera v.7 ??? http://www.kyocera.co.jp/prdct/telecom/consumer/wx320k/spec.html with zoom capabilities 30% to 200%.

Anyway, why don’t the two Opera employes tell the rest of us more about it… ??? ;)

The first model (AH-K3001V) of the same product line came out in 2004, which already had the Opera logo on it. It was the first mobile phone with the Opera browser in Japan.

Ah, silly me. I have Opera Mobile running on my Pocket PC phone (that I got for Christmas), and it does indeed have a Zooming feature.
