Want to make your Opera browser look and feel like Firefox? You can, by customizing the default Opera skin and menu and toolbar setups. Luckily you don’t have to do all the work yourself; you just have to click on a simple link.

Below is a screenshot of my Opera browser with the Firefox setup (Click on the screenshot to enlarge it).

Thanks to Opera’s Rijk van Geijtenbeek, the guru on customizing the Opera browser. Rijk is the author of the popular post ”Top 150 Popular Firefox Extensions and Opera“, where he compares the top Firefox extensions to the features that come built-in with Opera. This is totally different from what I would like. :)) When using Ff I prefer to look just like Opera, but I didnt’f find any skin/extension. Nice job but… Ff is ugly.

I’d rather know how to make FireFox into an Opera clone with a simple click (for times I have no choice, ya know).

Well, I saw quite a few Extensions that mimicked functions in Opera, but there’s no where near enough of these extensions to do all of what Opera can do. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any Mozilla Themes (skins) which were like Opera.

Here’s all of the Opera-related Firefox extensions:

Unfortunately I’m getting a 404 error when clicking on the ‘Click here to install the (OperaFox) Firefox look and feel’ link. :(

Is it me or the site?

@ Liam McDermott: Yeap, link is dead! :(

I have to agree with wath others already said. FireFox is ugly! Opera has way better looks… Don’t change too much of it!

404 not found, but still opera rules no need to imitate friendly rivals, except for ie which is the dumbass monster

I don’t want to promote that single-link setup, because there is no easy uninstall method.

But you can get the same effect by installing these:

    Menu
    Toolbar
    Keyboard shortcuts
Skin (or pick another variant from Ralf’s Firefox skins)

@ Rijk: Thanx for the links. :)

Does this actually give us the bookmarks on the toolbar just like firefox has by default? I like Opera better but cant leave FF because of this one reason. Thank You!
