New hardware installed for Opera’s community site

If you you’ve noticed the My Opera Community site not running sluggish anymore, that’s because new hardware was recently installed.
With an average of more than 1,000 new member each day, the My.Opera site has over 600,000 members and more than 1.6 million forum posts (according to BigBoards.com). The Opera Community forums ranks number 38 of the top English software forums on the web, according to Big-Boards, a site that tracks the most active message boards and forums.
Kudos to those working behind the scenes keeping the Opera Community site singing. (Follow their blog here).

Number 38 of all English forums? That’s incredible!

Yes. They’ve got the hardware working, but the forums are getting to be annoying. I always get taken to the first post of the thread and click on the page button to see new posts.

@Ryan
The first post is always displayed on top. Even on page 1000 of a thread. It’s a feature.

I know that. But what I’m saying is that it is the ONLY post that comes up when I click to see new posts.

1.6 million posts? My posts account for 2% of the total amount!
