New banner images for the Opera browser
Published January 17th, 2007 2:58 PM EST By Daniel GoldmanOpera put out last week some new banners for you to post on your blogs and websites. Gone are the “funny/weird” people, and in are the aesthetically looking new banners.
Why don’t you help spread the Opera browser by putting an Opera banner on the side of your blog or websites – I’ve already updated my banner here on Opera Watch. Let’s tell the world about Opera.

Those buttons where pretty neat, actually!

We need more static (instead of animated) banners.

BUT I DON’T CARE ABOUT FRAUD PROTECTION!

I actually preferred the buttons with the funny/weird people. But then, I’ve been called a weird person, myself, so perhaps that’s why!

These are pretty neat. I just wish they would post a PNG version of the 88×31 buttons, as that is what I have on my site. I still have the Opera 8 button from when version 8 first came out.

Best ones so far!!!

Replacing old banners with these “ascetic looking new banners” is very, very BAD idea. These new banners (in comparison to “funny/weird people”) just sux. I’m sorry to those who made them, but that’s the way I feel.
I think that banners with “funny/weird people” should be added again, because more banners gives developers possibility to select the best banner for layout of their site.
(Sorry for my English ;))

They “sux”, eh? How do they “sux”? Your comment is useless if you can’t even bother to explain exactly what the problem is.

Yeah, nice banners. I already blogged an entry about the new banners in my blog

I like the new banners, but I’d also keep a couple of “wierd people” banners too. Different sites suit different banners, and Opera needs to attract a good cross section of surfers.

Posted using Epipthany browser (unfortunately) pc playing up, and Opera not working!!!

Animated banners (and the GIF format) stink. Animated banners are just one small step away from blink-tags, ick. More static banners, fewer GIF’s.

To bad, I loved the nice girls

I rather look at peoples faces than shopping bags,
second thing is that colors of these banners don’t look good, and again - that’s the way I feel.
No comment is useless until it’s constructive (“more banners gives developers possibility to select the best banner for layout of their site”), you should think about your comment.

After upgrading the new My Opera site, the new banners are lost
Could you talk to your friends in OS ASA about publishing the banners again?
