Video interview with Opera CEO Jon von Tetzchner

Earlier today I spoke with Opera’s co-founder and CEO Jon von Tetzchner after his keynote address at the Webmaster World PubCon conference in Las Vegas (video below).
We talked about compatibility issues with the Opera browser, why developers should care about Opera, Opera’s competition, how Opera plans on growing its market share, and what’s next for Opera.
Thanks to Opera’s Tim Altman, the guy behind the video camera.

Great interview
And man, Jon looks tall
using
Either Jon is slightly higher than Daniel, or he is standing on a box or something :p
using
Soooo, according to Jon von Tetzchner there will be developers toolbar in 9.10
Nice! Cant’t wait to test it.
using
No, Jon wasn’t standing on any boxes
— he’s actually quite tall. According to this Jon is 2 meters tall.
using
Yeah, Jon is quite tall. Sorry if the camera work is messy, that was my first time operating a video camera.
using
Just as a notice, you really broke your page in any non Opera browser with that video..:)
using
Not that I found. Even though I play embedded Youtube videos in Opera all the time, this one wouldn’t get past the “Loading” phase. Worked right off in FF….
using
@ Øyvind Ø, it’s fixed now.
@ Rick, try doing CTRL+F5 on the YouTube page, which would force Opera to do a complete page reload.
using
FataL: you can test the developer tool bar with any Opera 9.x. Get it at dev.opera.com/articles/view/opera-developer-tools/

I wish I could be that diplomatic when talking about Microsoft and Internet Explorer

@Daniel Goldman
Nope, it is still broken in IE6 at work.
BTW; cheers for the latest interview with Mr. Tetzchner. Great reading. Keep up the good work.
