Opera Mobile browser continues to get good reviews

A couple new reviews for the Opera Mobile browser were published yesterday by PC Magazine and PDA Street.
Snippets from the PC Magazine review:
“Fire up the browser and navigate to some Web pages and you’ll immediately see an improvement over Internet Explorer Mobile. Opera Mobile does a nice job with its Small Screen Rendering technology, which formats pages so that they look as good as possible on a mobile phone’s screen.”
“I like how the program intelligently removed navigation bars and ads and showed the main content. Clearly labeled “Action” and “Menu” soft buttons let you get at the most-used commands—such as adding bookmarks, reconfiguring the display, and changing the zoom level—with two key presses.”
“A big change in version 8.6 is the addition of tabbed browsing. This alone vaults Opera Mobile into the ranks of powerful desktop browsers such as Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 7.”

If you enjoyed this post, then make sure you subscribe to my RSS Feed.“When you launch Nokia’s browser it helpfully takes you directly to the Bookmarks menu, but Opera’s startup behavior is arguably even more convenient. When you fire up Opera Mobile, it displays a home page from which you can enter an URL, conduct a Google search, or find links to the last 10 web pages you visited.”
“Opera Mobile makes even greater use of keyboard shortcuts than Nokia’s browser. Every numeric key (0-9) has a pre-programmed function, and you can customize each one.”
“One of the nice features of the browser is its fit to screen mode which renders the page in a pure vertical orientation, eliminating the need to scroll horizontally.”

Nice to see some more positive feedback about Opera in the news! I just wish my mobile could use Opera, haha.

@sc: Yeah, this caused an evil grim on my face. Actually, I would put the desktop Opera on the first place, especialy when one mentions tabbed browsing
