Thank God they fixed META Reload without making the images reload. Looks like I could switch to Opera 9 now…

great!

TheMajor: Why didn’t you use the 8th version.
Great news anyway! Go on, Opera :).
using
cousin333: Because v8 did just that; reload the images after a META redirect page (eg on vBulletin forums). So I am still using 7.54u2, and now considering Opera 9.
Only thing I really don’t like about it is that they removed some functionality to the context-menu when right-clicking the panel-selector, and some other context-menu’s have been modified a lot.

Pitty. My internet banking (https://ebssl.unibanka.sk/) still does not do :((( It acts very strange on that site

I’m downloading/upgrading it as we speak. Which is why I am temporarily using another browser. The changelog shows a lot of good fixes for the Linux version. Cheers!

It gave me
Could not parse file ‘/usr/share/applications/gtodo.desktop’: desktop entry contain unknown encoding ‘UTF-8X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gtodo’
but in the HELP > ABOUT it display Opera 9.01…¿?

I didn’t get that error. I used Synaptic to upgrade Opera and it worked without a hitch.

Was your banking site working with an earlier version of opera? Maybe you could email your bank about it. I emailed my bank when it actively sniffed alternative browsers, and they fixed it immediately.
