Opera 9 receives grade A+ from eWeek Magazine

eWeek Magazine Labs Director Jim Rapoza, in a report card on the three major Windows browser, gave Opera 9 an A+ grade.

When eWeek reviewed Opera 9, it gave it the eWEEK Labs Analyst’s Choice award. “It’s a good bet that if you want to see the features that other Web browsers will be adding in a year or two, you should download Opera 9″, said eWeek.

“In our tests, we found Opera 9 to be one of the best Web browsing tools we’ve used in a long time, which is why we are giving Opera 9 an eWEEK Labs Analyst’s Choice award.”

I spoke with Jim Rapoza shortly after his review, read the transcript.

From the browser report card:

It’s time for teacher to hand out the grades, and some final words.

Opera 9.0:You’re doing fantastic work—it’s good to see you back in form. Grade: A+.

Firefox 2.0 Beta 1: You’re not working up to your usual level. You’re still looking good, but I would like to see you try harder. Grade: B+.

IE 7 Beta 3: Great job. It’s good to see you applying yourself, finally. I knew you had it in you. Grade: B.
