The slogan is very good. Also the banners are nice. Its certainly much better than that Opera man! That was a disaster.
Btw, what happened to the massive promotional campaign? Havent heard much after the conf happened.

Actually, Opera's corporate tagline still remains Simply the best Internet experience on any device. That will not change anytime soon (I don't think :)

'Your web, your choice" is only the Opera 9 slogan.

It’s an inspirational approach, rather than making claims that fanboys will dissect for the next three years (all that “No, Firefox is not faster than IE… on MY computer” and “No, Opera is not faster than Firefox… on MY computer”.)

Good point!

I think this is my favorite of Opera's slogans. (Thanks, Saito, for the list -- I don't have my collection of old banners on this machine.) It's an inspirational approach, rather than making claims that fanboys will dissect for the next three years (all that "No, Firefox is not faster than IE... on MY computer" and "No, Opera is not faster than Firefox... on MY computer" grudge match crap.)

And it says something about the state of the web today: IIRC current stats show IE around 87%, and while I'm sure some people have looked at the competition and decidd they like IE anyway, most of those people probably haven't made an active choice to use it, simply a passive choice not to try anything else.

Anyone know if there are plans for updated PNG-24 images? They updated the really basic 88x31 banners from "Opera 8" to "Opera 9," but only the 8-bit versions -- and they've got solid white backgrounds. Once I've got time, I'm going to have to edit the graphics myself so they'll work on a textured background.

Pretty decent slogan. Since the Borg edition, Opera marketing seem to have got their act together.
