Congratulation to the invitation Daniel.

My guess since the last weekly is that it will be the launch of Opera9 final.

It is just about the time I would expect the final. Beta2 is already some time ago and it is quite usual to have final after Beta2. Also the last weeklys don't have new features and are really stabel in general (there is just about enough time to remove the known bugs). The strongest hint yet is that the MSI installer is not longer updating the beta version but the last final on the system (in my case 8.54)!

US is a good choice for the product launch as on first thought it is the best market to raise desktop revenue again (which halved after Opera ASA made desktop Opera free software).

I believe that on this fateful day, Opera will announce that they are buying Microsoft and taking over development of Vista to make it more Opera-like. Reportedly, both Gates and Ballmer have been beseeching Opera execs for help with the newest MSOS.

Why launch it in Seattle?

My guess is that it has to be some kind of a partner deal with a company located in that area.

Sairam, the comment count on the main page counts both comments and trackbacks together. However, on the post page, I seperated the trackbacks from the comments.

Or is this a joint product with Microsoft?

Hope not, cause if it is, it will probably be the last time I use Opera.

Hmm. Should have posted this with Opera.
