Opera today released an update for the desktop browser, version 8.54.

The update includes a fix for the Flash vulnerability in the Windows version. Opera 8.54 also fixes the problem with e-mail messages not opening in Gmail correctly.

    Great!
    BTW, this Flash seems as one big vulnerability. ;)
    I think that’s why Opera 9 not include Flash plugin for now. ;)

    FataL, Did I miss something? You said Flash will not be included in Opera 9, where did you see that?

    and how about gmail contacts? are they now displayed correctly?

    Daniel, that’s Haavard wrote in one of the comments: “Flash has been removed from the installer. There will probably be a way to easily download and install it from Macromedia, similar to the way it works with Java today.”

    I still don’t get it aren’t there more users of yahoo mail. Why are the issues with yahoo mail never fixed?

    The best part about this is that Gmail autocomplete seems to be fixed in 8.54. That drove me nuts!

    nagaraja, hmm… Gmail works fine in Opera 9.
