Well since it has exactly the specs as the orginal DS, and all Opera is is a cart, it should work in the DS Lite with no problems.

As stated by patrick, there is no "Nintendo DS Gameboy", the official name is "Nintendo DS". Game Boy (not Gameboy) is another franchise of Nintendo, as in "Nintendo Game Boy", "Nintendo Game Boy Color" and "Nintendo Game Boy Advance". Do a little research before posting in the future.

There are info regarding the Nintendo DS Lite? I mean, it will be compatible?

Gameboy and DS are completely different lineups of Nintendo. A Gameboy has no Touchscreen, the DS has.

Sounds pedantic, infact it is, but that detail is too obvious not to be mentioned :P

I wonder if that Operamodule will have some Memory, becuase there is no permanent one in the DS.

Speaking of irony, I used Opera 8.51 to surf here:

http://www.nintendo.com/corp/

Totally messed up, whether ID'ing as Opera, Mozilla, or IE! I reported it using the Help function. At the very least, hopefully this deal will lead Nintendo to build proper web pages.

This is a good strategy for Opera. Gaming industry is already booming, and an early entry in this field with a new idea/product like Opera browser for DS will mostly likely prove to be very rewarding for the company. Gameboy DS is already very popular, especially among the young generation, so Opera will definitely get itself known this way, hoping that the browser is good and user-friendly like IE 7 is for the desktop. If the Opera browser for DS satisfies the users, it can be further said that the DS users might use Opera for the desktop and switch from IE or their current browser.

Speaking along the same lines, Microsoft should have been an early and well-deserving entry for this to maintain its lead in the browser war. Microsoft’s state-of-the-art user interface design (highly noticeable in IE7) can benefit both the users and the company if it also introduces its new browser for the gaming industry. Within a short amount of time, XBOX is already in the second place in the gaming industry. The introduction of IE7 for XBOX and small platforms like DS will benefit Microsoft.
