Opera 8.52 unofficially released

Opera 8.52 has been unofficially released on Opera’s FTP directory.

Opera has not made any official announcement regarding this release at this time, so I’m not aware of the specific updates. Perhaps it’s nothing more than security updates; Opera is putting most of its focus on the next major release, Opera 9, at this time.

Opera 8.52 is available for the Windows, Linux/Unix, and Mac platforms.

The official changelog for Opera 8.52 (Windows) will be posted here, when it’s made official.

Important note: Download at your own risk. This release is still unofficial.

Update (2/17/06): Opera has now made this release official, which can be downloaded on its website. This release contains some Gmail loading fixes and a fix for a minor security issues.

[Pray mode] in the hope that they took this opportunity to fix the GDI leak.

    At long last…
8.51 had a few expired SSL-certificates, which was quite annoying for normal users.
