Opera CEO joins World Economic Forum
Published January 24th, 2006 2:32 PM EST By Daniel GoldmanOpera’s founder and CEO Jon von Tetzchner is among the 735 chief executives that were invited to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos that is set to start on Wednesday.
The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization formed to help improve the state of the world by engaging leaders in partnerships to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
von Tetzchner blogged about his forum appearance and how it fits in with Opera’s vision on the forum’s blog.
In early 2005, von Tetzchner joined Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin among others when he was chosen to be a member of the World Economic Forum’s “Young Global Leaders”.

What’s he doing there ?
I though it was only for Indians and Chinese
What’s he doing not blogging from the Opera community pages?
Have been in Davos last summer. Nice place to spend a couple of days.
Is DH saying the WEF is for Chinese and Indians only??
No I was saying since they are the emerging economies, and according many newspapers it is said to be filled with Indians and Chinese who made up 99 %.
So I was quite surprised Opera CEO was going when man were not.
It’s more a place for CEOs like Bill Gates or CEO of SUN, HP, and other big companies…
