Opera 8.02 technical preview 1 is now available on Opera’s FTP directory.
It should be noted that no official announcement has been made by Opera as of yet. In addition, as always, technical previews are experimental by nature and only distributed to a limited audience. They may contain some bugs. Use caution.
At first glance, I don’t see any visible changes from Opera 8.01.
And to those of you wondering, yes, there are still ads in this version. So perhaps removing the ads from the desktop browser is not the big announcement we’re waiting for.
P.S. Acid2 still doesn’t pass.
